Obituary for Beverly J. White
Beverly J. (Hornburg) White of Springville, NY passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 78.
She was born July 24, 1944 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Russ) Hornburg. She was the co-owner of White's Appliance in Springville. Additionally, she was a Sunday School Teacher, a 4-H leader, and a voter/poll worker. She was also a member of the New Life Fellowship Church in Springville, an honorary member of Non Cents Car Club of Springville, and a member of the Calico Club.
She was known for being generous and kind, and loving her family. She was also known throughout the community for her baking and genuine interest in people and their lives.
She grew up in Silver Creek, NY on a grape farm where she honed her hard work ethic. In 1962, she married her husband, Jack White, and in 1976 they opened White's Appliance as a team and worked side by side until he retired in 2003. She continued to work with her family business for 47 years until her passing.
She is survived by her children: Terri (Robert) Foster of Springville, and Scott (Judi) White of Springville; granddaughters: Jessica, Juliana, and Jaime; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Jack White, and her siblings: Raydeen Kester, Mary Zittel, Ruth Bernard, David Hornburg, and Daniel Hornburg.
There will be no prior visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with final interment to take place in Jolls Cemetery in Perrysburg, NY. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
