Obituary for Daniel "Dan" J. Ciszak
Daniel J. "Dan" Ciszak, of East Concord, New York passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania at the age of 67.
He was born August 26, 1955 in Springville, NY a son of the late John and Jean (Crouse) Ciszak.
He worked as a Forester for the Erie County Parks Department from 27 years. He was a member of the St. Aloysius Church in Springville, NY.
He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and watching the Buffalo Bills. He loved his family and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Denise (Urban) Ciszak, whom he married September 10, 1977 at St. Aloysius Church; his children: Monica (Donald) West of North Carolina, Paula Ciszak, and Joseph (Alyssa) Ciszak both of Springville; his siblings: Greg Ciszak of Washington State, Peg (Mark) Redlinski of Arizona, Kathy (Dave) Krull of Lancaster, and Nancy Meyer of Bowmansville, NY; his grandchildren: Damien, Chloe, Donnie, Fallon, Lexi, Audrey, and Makenzie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter - Amy Ciszak.
Friends may call Friday, September 9, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main Street, Springville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1pm at St. Aloysius Church, 190 Franklin Street, Springville, NY. Burial will be held in the St. Aloysius Cemetery.
