Obituary for David E. Reed
David E. Reed, 85, of Springville, NY, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 2, 2022, while enjoying a beautiful, warm summer day on the beloved farm.
Dave was born December 21, 1936 in West Valley, NY, to the late Leon and Bernice (Ehman) Reed. He is survived by his five siblings, Joan, Dale, Kay, Carol and Carin (Punkie). His entire family was raised in West Valley, New York.
David is survived by his children; David (Diane) Reed, Douglas Reed, Mark Reed, Jody (Chris) Gallson, Jill Giamberdino, Matthew (Kim) Reed, and Jen Horn. He is also survived by Chris (Tammy) Ritter and Wendy Ritter, and many grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his son, Paul Horn.
Dave was a retired dairy farmer. He maintained the farm (Green Acres) for the duration of his life. He enjoyed having a variety of animals from donkeys to chickens. He enjoyed frequenting various auctions and fairs with the Springville Auction being his favorite.
Dave will be sorely missed by his friends and family members.
Dave’s Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at the West Valley Volunteer Hose Co.,Inc., 9085 NY-240, West Valley, NY 14171 on June 25, 2022 from 12-3 pm.
