Obituary for Donald G. Slaughenhaupt
Donald G. Slaughenhaupt of Springville, NY passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital at the age of 92.
He was born April 30, 1930 in Olean, NY a son of the late George R. and Ione (Hunt) Slaughenhaupt.
He worked as an inspector at Springville Manufacturing for many years.
He loved reading his bible and was a member of the Mortons Corners Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children: Cheryl (Dave) Brock of Springville, Cathy (Dennis) Ebert of Morrisville, NC, Sandra Shepker of Mt. Holly, NC, Christine (Don) Bailey of Perth, NY; his siblings: Edward (Sharon) Slaughenhaupt, John Slaughenhaupt, Linda (Joe) Rushing, Lorene (George) Parson; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings, and his sons James Michael and Keith David Slaughenhaupt.
Friends may call Monday, July 18, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main Street, Springville, NY where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11AM with interment to follow at the Lamphier Cemetery in Eldred, PA at 2pm.
