Obituary for Douglas A. Studd
Douglas A. "Doug" Studd of West Valley, New York passed away November 2, 2022 at his residence at the age of 74.
He was born September 16, 1948 in Gowanda, New York, the son of the late Albert and Eleanor (Emke) Studd.
Doug's lifelong career was truck driving. He owned and operated D&J Transport Service out of Wilmington, NC.
He was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees sports fan. His love for sports started from an early age. Doug loved playing Football and Basketball. He played both sports in high school, and at the collegiate level. He loved his dogs, and spending time with his family. There was nothing more important to Doug than the love he had for his family.
Doug is survived by his children: Christina (Josh) Studd of Bloomington, IN, Jordan Nelsen of Dallas, TX, Jacob (Melissa) Nelsen of Charleston, SC, Julian Nelsen of Salamanca, NY, Troy Studd of Chico, Ca, and Tyler (Julia) Studd of New York; his sister: Barbara (Duane) Opferbeck of Cattaraugus, NY; brother-in-law: Randy Stankey of Cherry Creek, NY; his grandchildren: Jasper, Wynter, Hazel, Madison, Chad, Dillon, Lauren, and Noah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son: Brandon Studd; and his sisters: Patricia Musall and Linda Stankey.
