Obituary for Elizabeth Fiel
Elizabeth Fiel of Springville, NY passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Greenfield Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, NY at the age of 89.
She was born October 19, 1933 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Molnar) Jelics. She was a member of the St. Aloysius Church in Springville and she loved gardening and spending time with her family. She also worked in the insurance claims department at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Fiel who she married on September 1, 1956 in Buffalo; her children: Sandy Emerling of Boston, NY, Eric (Donna) Fiel of Mary Esther, FL, Cathy (Tony) Picone of Springville and Paul Fiel of Maryland; also survived by nine grandchildren: Evan, Chloe, Olivia, Jonathan, Stephanie, Andy, Kevin, Corey and Austin; four great-grandchildren: Collins, Kershaw, Brooks and Gibson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jenny Fiel; her twin sister, Irene and her sister, Margaret.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10am at the St. Aloysius Church, 190 Franklin St., Springville with Rev. Daniel Fawls officiating. Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Boston.
