Gloria J. Darbee of West Valley, NY passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Pines of Machias at the age of 93.
She was born September 29, 1928 in Colden, NY a daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Crump) Schrader.
Gloria worked at Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home as ward clerk.
She loved singing in choirs, traveling, playing golf, doing arts, crafts and quilting. She also loved Disney World.
Her husband, Francis Darbee whom she married in Glenwood, NY on June 15, 1946, passed away October 25, 1991.
She is survived by her children: Diana (late John) Horton of West Valley, NY, Elaine Walker of Texas, and Patricia (Philip) Walker of Tennessee; her siblings: George (Marilyn) Schrader of Glenwood, NY, Mary (Warren) Pilger of Glenwood, NY, and David (late Cheryl) Schrader of Glenwood, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister - Audrey.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Private Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in the Colden Cemetery.
