Obituary for James A. "J.J" Jackson
James A. "J.J" Jackson, of Springville, NY passed away November 29, 2022 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital at the age of 83.
He was born December 15, 1938 in Springville, NY a son of the late Clifford and Olive (Clark) Jackson.
He worked as a Stock Clerk for 50 years at Peerless-Winsmith. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Colden, NY. He served in the United States Navy from 1956-1959.
Jim enjoyed deer hunting, horse racing, watching the Buffalo Bills, and going to the Casino. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
His wife, Elizabeth "Susan" Jackson, whom he married May 6, 1961 at St. Aloysius Church in Springville, passed away September 11, 2021.
He is survived by his children: Jamie (Jeffery) Bly of South Dayton, Curtis (Marcy) Jackson of Wisconsin, Steven (Colleen) Jackson of Springville, and Amy (Scott) Spier of Springville; his siblings: Merle (Nola) Jackson of Virginia, Gena Ray of Arcade, and Clifford "Jack" (Billie-Jo) Jackson of Ashford; his grandchildren: Anthony (Tarla), Sarah, Emily, Timothy, Katelynn, Taylor, Chase, Trinity, Kyle (Erica). Also survived by eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 10am at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 8740 Supervisor Ave., Colden, NY 14033 with Pastor Domenick Lettieri officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church.
