Obituary for James V. Cafferty
James V. Cafferty of Springville, NY passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at ECMC at the age of 86.
He was born March 16, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan a son of the late James A. and Victoria (Lectner) Cafferty. He was a member of St. George Church in West Falls, NY and was a faithful servant to God.
He worked as a Civil Engineer Branch Manager for Johnson Controls in Buffalo, NY. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, volunteering and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Martin) Cafferty whom he married in 1974 in Michigan; his children: Debbie (Jeff) Wine of Michigan, Lori (Rod) Davie of Springville, Marcia (Michael) Bromley of Maryland, James (Jackie) Cafferty of Virginia, Sandy (Dave) Horbachewski of Springville, Brett (Susan) Cafferty of Tennessee and Amanda (James) Knepp of North Carolina; his brother-in-law: Kenneth Byers; he is also survived by 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Byers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11AM at St. George Church, 74 Old Glenwood Rd. West Falls, NY.
