Obituary for Marie D. Lawton
Marie D. (Dehne) Lawton of Springville, NY passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in her residence at the age of 83.
She was born January 24, 1940 in New York, NY a daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte (Sopher) Dehne. She was a Kindergarten Teacher for Springville Elementary School. She was very involved in several ladies clubs; Red Hats, Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital Study Club, and Federated Women's Club. She was also involved with Meals on Wheels, and enjoyed doing crafts with students.
She is survived by her children: Eric (Denise) Lawton of Springville, Andrew (Jill) Lawton of Livonia, NY; siblings: Patricia (Ronald) Dudek of Brant, NY, Charles (Kathy) Dehne of Woodlands, TX, and Joanne (Roger) Brooks of Tonawanda; grandchildren: Dennis, Thomas, William, Anna, Luke, Karly, and Ty; great-grandchildren: Kendall, Carson, and Henry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Paul Lawton, whom she married August 19, 1961 in Cheektowaga. He passed away April 5, 2019. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Marie Lawton.
There will be no prior visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
