Obituary for Mary J. Kessler
Mary J. Kessler of Springville, NY passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital at the age of 83.
She was born March 23, 1939 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late Louis Hartlieb and Evelyn (Bettinger) Vandermeer. She was a member of the St. Aloysius Church in Springville and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary was the devoted wife of 62 years to Al Kessler who she married on June 20, 1959 in Springville; loving mother of Luann (David) Griffith and Dan (Jeanne) Kessler both of Springville; cherished grandma of Justin Griffith and Bradley, Erik and Jennifer Kessler and the great-grandma of Maxwell Griffith. She was the Aunt of Mark (Connie) Kessler and was also survived by many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Edward Hartlieb; her step-father, William Vandermeer; her brother-in-law, Edward Kessler and her sisters-in-law, Judith Kessler and Marilyn (Norman) Duschen.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
