Ralph A. Schmauss of Springville passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 81.

He was born September 15, 1941 in Buffalo a son of the late Vincent and Christine (Hereth) Schmauss. He was the owner and operator of Ralph A. Schmauss DDS Family Dentistry in Springville, and was also a US Army Veteran that had served from 1967-1969. He enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills, gardening, and working on DIY projects. Additionally, he was a member of the St. Aloysius Church in Springville.

He is survived by his daughter, Krista (Roger) Cranston of E. Otto; grandchildren: Katherine (Brandon), and Tanner; great-grandchildren: Emerlyn and Aeriella; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Helen (Anderson) Schmauss, whom he married June 17, 1967 in Buffalo. She passed away August 21, 2014. He is also predeceased by his daughter, Kettiayn Schmauss; as well as his brother, David Schmauss.

There will be no prior visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
